प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने शनिवार को जलवायु महत्वाकांक्षी शिखर सम्मेलन 2020 के दौरान कहा कि भारत न केवल पेरिस समझौते के अपने लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त करने की दिशा में है बल्कि वह अपेक्षाओं से अधिक उन्हें पार करने की राह में है। 

उन्होंने रेखांकित किया कि देश ने 2005 के स्तर पर अपनी उत्सर्जन तीव्रता को 21 प्रतिशत तक कम कर दिया है। शिखर सम्मेलन में दिए गए अपने डिजिटल संदेश में पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि पेरिस समझौते की पांचवीं वर्षगांठ पर आयोजित सम्मेलन जलवायु परिवर्तन के खिलाफ लड़ाई में सबसे महत्वाकांक्षी कदम है। 

उन्होंने कहा,आज,जैसा कि हम अपनी निगाहें और ऊपर करना चाह रहे हैं,हमें अतीत की ओर से भी दृष्टि को ओझल नहीं करना चाहिए। हमें न केवल अपनी महत्वाकांक्षाओं को संशोधित करना चाहिए,बल्कि पहले से ही निर्धारित लक्ष्यों के संबंध में अपनी उपलब्धियों की भी समीक्षा करनी चाहिए। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने कहा,तभी हमारी आवाजें भविष्य की पीढ़ियों के लिए विश्वसनीय हो सकती हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि 2047 में,भारत एक आधुनिक,स्वतंत्र राष्ट्र के रूप में अपने 100 साल मनाएगा। 

मोदी ने कहा,इस ग्रह पर के मेरे सभी निवासियों के लिए,मैं आज एक संकल्प लेता हूं। सौ साल का भारत न केवल अपने लक्ष्यों को पूरा करेगा,बल्कि आपकी अपेक्षाओं से भी आगे बढ़ेगा। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने कहा कि भारत न केवल अपने पेरिस समझौते के लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त करने की दिशा में है बल्कि उम्मीद से भी आगे बढ़ेगा। उन्होंने कहा,हमने 2005 के स्तरों पर अपनी उत्सर्जन तीव्रता को 21 फीसदी तक कम कर लिया है।

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said during the Climate Ambitious Summit 2020 that India is not only in the direction of achieving its goals of the Paris Agreement but it is on track to exceed them. He underlined that the country had reduced its emission intensity by 21 percent at the 2005 level. In his digital message given at the summit, PM Modi said that the conference organized on the fifth anniversary of the Paris Agreement is the most ambitious step in the fight against climate change.

He said, today, as we are trying to keep our eyes up and up, we should not lose sight of the past also. We should not only revise our ambitions, but also review our achievements in relation to the goals already set. Prime Minister Modi said, only then our voices can be reliable for future generations. He said that in 2047, India would celebrate its 100 years as a modern, independent nation.

Modi said, for all my residents on this planet, I take a pledge today. A hundred years of India will not only meet its goals, but will also exceed your expectations. Prime Minister Modi said that India is not only in the direction of achieving the goals of its Paris Agreement but will also go ahead with the expectation. "We have reduced our emission intensity to 21 per cent at 2005 levels," he said.
