मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल आज महिला एवं बाल विकास विभाग अंतर्गत मुख्यमंत्री सुपोषण अभियान के तहत आयोजित कार्यक्रम में शामिल हुये। उन्होंने कहा कि कुपोषण मुक्ति के लिये हमें सभी बच्चों एवं महिलाओं तक सुपोषण की पहुंच बनानी होगी। मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल ने कहा कि कुपोषण मुक्ति अभियान व एनीमिया मुक्त करने के लिये जिले में उल्लेखनीय प्रयास हुये है। कुपोषण दर में 8 प्रतिशत की उल्लेखनीय कमी आयी है। 

लेकिन केवल इतने से ही हमें संतुष्ट नहीं होना है। इस अभियान की सार्थकता तभी सिद्ध होगी जब सभी बच्चे कुपोषण मुक्त हो जायेंगे। मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल ने इस अवसर पर जिले के 203 ग्राम पंचायत व वार्ड जो शत-प्रतिशत कुपोषण मुक्त हो चुके है,उनके सरपंच व पार्षदों को प्रशस्ति पत्र देकर सम्मानित किया।

कलेक्टर भीम सिंह ने कार्यक्रम में प्रतिवेदन के माध्यम से मुख्यमंत्री सुपोषण योजनान्तर्गत अब तक हुये कार्यों की जानकारी दी। उन्होंने बताया कि डीएमएफ मद से सुपोषण योजना के 13 करोड़ 82 लाख रुपये की प्रशासकीय स्वीकृति प्रदाय की गई है। योजना की शुरूआत के समय जिले में कुपोषण का दर 23 प्रतिशत था जो वर्तमान में घटकर केवल 15 प्रतिशत रहा गया है। आंगनबाड़ी केन्द्र में स्व - सहायता समूह के माध्यम से पोषण आहार की आपूर्ति की जा रही है,जिससे जिले में स्थानीय स्तर पर स्व - सहायता समूह को रोजगार मिला है। 

डीएमएफ मद से द्वितीय किश्त की राशि 2 करोड़ 30 लाख रुपये जिला कार्यक्रम अधिकारी को प्रदाय किया गया। इस अवसर पर कृषि मंत्री एवं जिले के प्रभारी मंत्री रविन्द्र चौबे,उच्च शिक्षा मंत्री उमेश पटेल,विधायक लालजीत सिंह राठिया, विधायक प्रकाश नायक,विधायक उत्तरी गनपत जांगड़े,जिला पंचायत अध्यक्ष निराकार पटेल एवं महापौर जानकी बाई काटजू आदि उपस्थित थे।

8 percent decrease in district's malnutrition rate in a year: Bhupesh Baghel

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today participated in the program organized under the Chief Minister's Nutrition Campaign under the Department of Women and Child Development. He said that to eradicate malnutrition, we have to provide access to nutrition to all children and women. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that remarkable efforts have been made in the district to eradicate malnutrition and free anemia. There has been a significant reduction of 8 percent in the rate of malnutrition.

But we do not have to be satisfied only with this. The significance of this campaign will be proved only when all children become malnutrition free. On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel honored the 203 gram panchayats and wards of the district, which have become 100 percent malnutrition, by giving a citation to their sarpanch and councilors.

Collector Bhim Singh informed about the work done so far under the Chief Minister's Nutrition Scheme through a report in the program. He informed that an administrative approval of Rs. 13 crore 82 lakh has been provided under the DMF item for the Sucharnithan Yojana. The malnutrition rate in the district was 23 percent at the beginning of the scheme, which has come down to 15 percent at present. Nutritional food is being supplied through self-help groups at the Anganwadi center, which has provided employment to the self-help groups at the local level in the district.

The amount of the second installment of Rs 2 crore 30 lakh from the DMF item was provided to the District Program Officer. Agriculture Minister and District In-charge Minister Ravindra Choubey, Higher Education Minister Umesh Patel, MLA Laljit Singh Rathia, MLA Prakash Naik, MLA North Ganpat Jangde, District Panchayat President Nirakar Patel and Mayor Janaki Bai Katju were present on the occasion.
