उन्होंने कहा कि स्वर्गीय श्री ताराचंद साहू उन लोगों में से थे जिन्हें लगता था कि छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य तो बन गया है लेकिन छत्तीसगढ़िया स्वाभिमान और अस्मिता के लिए अभी काफी कार्य शेष है। इसके लिए वे आगे बढ़े और प्रयत्न किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि हमें खुशी है कि हम छत्तीसगढ़ के आत्मगौरव के लिए कार्य कर रहे हैं।
छत्तीसगढ़िया स्वाभिमान की अलख के लिए काम कर रहे हैं। सभा को गृह मंत्री ताम्रध्वज साहू ने भी संबोधित किया। उन्होंने कहा कि छत्तीसगढ़ी स्वाभिमान की अलख को जगाने का बड़ा काम स्वर्गीय श्री ताराचंद साहू ने किया। मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल के नेतृत्व में राज्य सरकार इसी दिशा में कार्य कर कर रही है। लोगों की आर्थिक तरक्की के साथ ही सांस्कृतिक धरोहर को भी सहेजने की दिशा में बड़ा काम किया जा रहा है।
कई लोगों ने पहली बार देखी गेड़ी - मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल ने कहा कि जो पर्व हमारी छत्तीसगढ़ी अस्मिता के पहचान थे वो अपने ही प्रदेश में हाशिये में जा रहे थे। शहरी क्षेत्रों में तो कई लोग ऐसे थे जिन्होंने हरेली त्यौहार का नाम सुना ही नहीं था। जब हरेली के दिन हम लोग मुख्यमंत्री निवास से गेड़ी से निकले तो लोगों ने देखा कि कितनी समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक धरोहर हम लोग लेकर चल रहे थे और इसे विस्मृत करते जा रहे थे।
हमारे त्योहार,हमारी परंपरा जिससे हमें ऊर्जा मिलती थी,वे हाशिये पर थी। पहली बार हमारे तीज त्योहार, कर्मा जयंती, हरेली,विश्व आदिवासी दिवस पर अवकाश आरंभ हुआ। मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल ने स्वर्गीय श्री चंदूलाल चंद्राकर एवं स्वर्गीय श्री पवन दीवान को भी किया याद - मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि यह संयोग है कि आज ही दो अन्य महान विभूतियों की जयंती भी है। स्वर्गीय श्री चंदूलाल चंद्राकर एवं स्वर्गीय श्री पवन दीवान का जन्म भी आज के दिन ही हुआ था और इन्होंने भी छत्तीसगढ़ी अस्मिता को लेकर ऐसा ही स्वप्न देखा था।
वे अलग - अलग पेशों से थे लेकिन संयोग ऐसा हुआ कि इनका कार्य एक ही तरह का था और सोच भी एक ही तरह की थी। मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल ने कहा कि स्वर्गीय श्री ताराचंद साहू से बहुत आत्मीय संबंध था। अनेक स्मृतियाँ उनसे जुड़ी हुई हैं। वे मेरे गाँव कुरुदहीड भी आते थे। बहुत सारी स्मृतियाँ हैं उनसे जुड़ी जो याद आती हैं। मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल ने इनमें से कुछ स्मृतियों को सामाजिकजनों से साझा भी किया।
हमें अवसर दिया गया तो चलाएंगे नगरनार का प्लांट - मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल ने कहा कि केंद्र सरकार नगरनार प्लांट का विनिवेश करना चाहती है। हमने केंद्र से कहा है कि प्लांट चलाने का अवसर हमें दें। छत्तीसगढ़ में प्रतिभाशाली लोगों की टीम है। हमें अवसर मिला तो प्लांट का बेहतर संचालन करेंगे ताकि स्थानीय लोगों के लिए रोजगार के बेहतर अवसर पैदा हों। उन्होंने कहा कि एफसीआई द्वारा चावल नहीं लिये जाने के संबंध में प्रधानमंत्री से चर्चा हुई है। हम किसानों के हितों के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है और खेती किसानी को बढ़ावा देना हमारी प्राथमिकता है।

Chhattisgarh's self-respect will always be remembered by the late Shri Tarachand Sahu: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel
He said that the late Shri Tarachand Sahu was among those who thought that the state of Chhattisgarh had been formed but there was still a lot of work to do for Chhattisgarh's self - respect and identity. For this, he went ahead and tried. The Chief Minister said that we are happy that we are working for Atma Gaurav of Chhattisgarh.
Chhattisgarh is working for Swabhiman's Alakh. Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu also addressed the gathering. He said that the late Shri Tarachand Sahu did a great job of awakening the Alakh of Chhattisgarhi Swabhiman. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the state government is working in this direction. Along with the economic progress of the people, great work is being done to save the cultural heritage.
Many people saw Gedi for the first time - Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the festival which was the hallmark of our Chhattisgarhi identity was being marginalized in our own state. There were many people in urban areas who had not heard the name of Hareli festival. When we came out of Gedi from the Chief Minister's residence on the day of Hareli,we saw how rich cultural heritage we were carrying and were forgetting.
Our festivals, our tradition which gave us energy, were marginalized. For the first time, the holiday started on our Teej festival, Karma Jayanti, Hareli, World Tribal Day. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also remembered the late Shri Chandulal Chandrakar and the late Shri Pawan Dewan. The Chief Minister said that it is a coincidence that today is also the birth anniversary of two other great personalities. Late Shri Chandulal Chandrakar and late Shri Pawan Diwan were also born on this day and they too had a similar dream about Chhattisgarhi Asmita.
They were from different professions, but coincidentally, their work was the same and their thinking was the same. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that he had a very intimate relationship with the late Shri Tarachand Sahu. Many memories are associated with him. They also used to come to my village Kurudheed. There are many memories associated with those who miss. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also shared some of these memories with social people.
If we are given an opportunity, we will run the plant of Nagarnar - Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the central government wants to disinvest the Nagarnar plant. We have asked the Center to give us the opportunity to run the plant. Chhattisgarh has a team of talented people. If we get an opportunity, we will run the plant better so that better employment opportunities are created for the local people. He said that there has been a discussion with the Prime Minister regarding FCI not taking rice. We are committed to the interests of farmers and promote farming Is our priority.
