प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना (शहरी) के ग्लोबल हाउसिंग टेक्नोलॉजी चैलेंज इंडिया अंतर्गत प्रतिस्पर्धा के माध्यम से इंदौर का चुनाव राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर लाइट हाउस प्रोजेक्ट (एलएचपी) के निर्माण के लिए भारत सरकार,आवासन एवं शहरी विकास मंत्रालय द्वारा किया गया है। लाइट हाउस प्रोजेक्ट के क्रियान्वयन के लिए देश के स्वच्छतम शहर इन्दौर का चुनाव होना, मध्यप्रदेश के लिए गौरव की बात है। इंदौर में एलएचपी के क्रियान्वयन से भवन निर्माण की नवीन तकनीकों को प्रदेश में प्रोत्साहन मिलेगा और नवीन तकनीकों के उपयोग से निर्माण अवधि भी कम होगी।
इंदौर में निर्मित होने वाले इस महत्वाकांक्षी प्रोजेक्ट में पूर्वनिर्मित सैंडविच पैनल प्रणाली के माध्यम से 1,024 आवासीय इकाइयों का निर्माण किया जाना है। इस प्रीफेब्रिकेटेड पूर्वनिर्मित सैंडविच पैनल प्रणाली में दीवार पैनल,सीमेंट फाइबर बोर्डों के बीच हल्के वजन वाले कंक्रीट के कोर के साथ बना हुआ अभिनव निर्माण पद्धति हैं। मध्यप्रदेश में इस तरह के सैंडविच पैनल प्रणाली के साथ पहली बार इतने बड़े पैमाने पर किसी भवन निर्माण परियोजना में उपयोग किया जा रहा है।
लाईट हाउस प्रोजेक्ट की क्रियान्वयन अवधि में विभिन्न शैक्षणिक संस्थाओं जैसे आईआईटी, आईआईएम, एनआईटी, अन्य इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेज व राज्य की निर्माण एजेंसियों द्वारा इसका उपयोग लाइव प्रयोगशाला के रूप में किया जा सकेगा। निर्माण अवधि पूर्ण होने के पश्चात भी वर्कशॉप एवं साईट विजिट के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों व शोधकर्ताओं दवारा उपयोग की जा रही प्रीफेब्रिकेटेड पूर्वनिर्मित सैंडविच पैनल प्रणाली की जानकारी प्राप्त की जा सकेगी।
साथ ही लाईट हाउस प्रोजेक्ट के तकनीकी नवाचार का लाभ देश के अन्य शहरों को मिल सकेगा। इंदौर स्वच्छता के क्षेत्र में नए आयाम स्थापित कर चुका है और लाइट हाउस प्रोजेक्ट के माध्यम से इंदौर नवीन निर्माण तकनीकी के प्रोत्साहन में भी देश को वैश्विक स्तर पर एक लीडर बनाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका प्रदान करेगा।

Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lay the virtual foundation stone of the Light House Project in Indore
Indore has been selected by the Government of India, Ministry of Housing and Urban Development for the construction of the Light House Project (LHP) at the national level through competition under the Global Housing Technology Challenge India of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). Election of Indore, the country's cleanest city for the implementation of the Light House Project, is a matter of pride for Madhya Pradesh. With the implementation of LHP in Indore, new techniques of building construction will be encouraged in the state and construction period will also be reduced with the use of new techniques.
In this ambitious project to be constructed in Indore, 1,024 residential units are to be constructed through prefabricated sandwich panel system. This prefabricated prefabricated sandwich panel system features innovative fabrication methods with wall panels, cores of light weight concrete between cement fiber boards. For the first time in Madhya Pradesh, such a sandwich panel system is being used in such a large scale construction project.
During the implementation period of the Light House project, it can be used as a live laboratory by various educational institutions like IITs, IIMs, NITs, other engineering colleges and construction agencies of the state. After completion of the construction period, information will be available about the prefabricated prefabricated sandwich panel system being used by the students and researchers through workshop and site visits.
Also, the technological innovation of the Light House project will benefit other cities of the country. Indore has established new dimensions in the field of cleanliness and through light house project, Indore will also provide an important role in making the country a leader in the promotion of new construction technology.
